Not sure on the KKs but on the KJs the switch is part of the gear selector switch on the side of the trans where the shift linkage hooks up. But should be same place on the KKs

It’s on drivers side of trans and appears to be an internal part. I hate Jeep Liberty’s, miss my old YJ!!!
