So caught this on a facebook yardsale site for 900.00. Very clean 02 Limited 4X4 loaded. I knew it was somewhat lipstick on a pig but with only two tiny spots showing signs of rust it has great bones. I plan to use this for a daily driver back and forth to the airport to keep the miles off my F350. Also this gives me something to play with. All of the Control arms are going to need replacing so to save some $$ I am going with standard parts till I source the more expensive stuff and figure out my lift strategy.

Specs:
2002 Jeep Liberty JK
287,000 Miles
4X4 Limited
Leather, Sunroof (Works!), Heated drivers seat, 6 disc Changer Stereo System.

So Far Ordered:
Rear Lower Control Arms
Rear Upper Control Arm
Blower Fan Resistor
Front Tie Rod Ends
New TYC Headlights
Front and Rear Pads
Shocks for Hood and Rear Glass
New Battery
Sourced some other Jeep Wheels and better tires for the interim.

Parts Wanted: (Would like some thoughts on this list.)
JBA Control Arms
Roof Lights
Roof Rack
3" Lift of some sort
ARB Front Bumper
New Stereo System

Looks like a nice car especially considering how many miles it's done. It's good to see the longevity of these Jeeps!
They really are worth spending the time and money on servicing and repairs.

SOMD?! Where are you at? There's a chance I've seen your KJ around here.

I am over in Calvert but this KJ was in Mechanicsville. I have a feeling it was a DC commuter based off of the miles and condition. I am going to have to sand down the rockers here soon to stop the rust spots and think I am just going to bedliner the rockers to save them and not have any more worries. I have the rear torn apart now waiting for my control arms to show up today. Now I just need source a couple of tires to get it through inspection.

BTW these are the easiest headlight install I have ever done in a car.

Just so you know your jeep is not a car. A jeep is a jeep.

Nice! You've got the off road package. :D

The rocker rust might be coming from the inside out.

Yep it appears to be inside out. I am going to wait until I get everything sorted on and running before I tear into the rockers. So far it appears to be minor and I don't think I have holes so we shall see. I have looked at some threads so when I tackle them I should know what to do. I figure bedliner them in black will look good and hold up better than paint down there lol.
