Hi All,

I have a 2011 Jeep Liberty. A few days ago the sound on my radio just stopped working. The display comes on, but no volume. I have checked the fuse box under the hood and the fuse looks ok. I even swapped it with another fuse and it still does not work. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

TIA

NO AUDIO
1. Fuse faulty. 1. Check radio fuse and Ignition-Off Draw (IOD)
fuse in Junction Block (JB). Replace fuses, if
required.

2. Radio connector faulty. 2. Check for loose or corroded radio connector.
Repair, if required.

3. Wiring faulty. 3. Check for shorted or open wires. Repair wiring,
if required.

4. Radio ground faulty. 4. Check for continuity between radio chassis and
a known good ground. There should be
continuity. Repair ground, if required.

5. Radio faulty. 5. Refer to appropriate Diagnostic Service
Manual.

6. Speakers faulty. 6. Replace speaker as necessary.

7. Choke and relay faulty 7. Replace choke and relay as necessary.

Check all speaker wires

I installed a new stereo and 4 speakers and 3 weeks later there was no sound from the speakers. As you say, radio still displayed and seemed fine. Crutchfield insisted that I test the speakers by unconnecting ALL of them and connecting them back one at a time to see if there is any sound. I almost skipped this step thinking the internal amp was bad. After disconnecting the front speakers the rear speakers played. I was actually able to hook up the front left speaker and have 3 speakers working. It's obvious that I have a short in the wires heading to my front right speaker. I will look into it further when I get time.

In a word, I suggest doing a speaker test.
