Just checked it, no official recommendations for trans fluid or diff fluid or PTU fluid (or whatever thing it has). Checked the forums and they don't know either.
So I'd probably stick to 50k for the trans and PTU.

Yep I used alot of it years ago in a variety of Fords. I still see it around on the shelves here and there. Is this just for people running pre 77 cars or does anything newer still use it?

just curious
since anything I own has to be able to pull a trailer ( 6X10 enclosed and 5X8 open)
My Trailhawk has tons of power. Does 0-60 in about 6-7 seconds. 3.2L V6. Never owned anything this fast. Tons of fun.

Wouldn't touch that 2.4L with a 10' pole.

Problem is I live in KY but regularly travel to Ohio. But, if I live in KY and it's home defense...

No nothing calls for type F that has been made in the last 40 years.

You can add a qt or 2 to older non-Ford trans(non-electric auto's like the turbo 350/400 and such) to firm up the shifts a little.

Buying my lift next month, but there's only like 3 lifts to choose from.

2 spacer lifts and 1 spring and shock kit. But there's a problem though, the spring and shock kit isn't tall enough to satisfy me. But we are dealing with the KL here. I'm not considering either of the spacer lifts though.

Dunno what to do.

Who makes the spring and shock kit?

Is it supposed to ride better?

OK ladies and gents....

found a WK - 2008 4.7L (it's the redesigned "semi-hemi" 4.7L) Laredo with Quadratrac II (it does have low range). 58k miles - it was an executive vehicle, which he bought out for his wife. She works relatively close to the house.

He had a minor fender bender which cracked the rear fascia - replaced and at the same time installed the tow package receiver. Also had a door skin replaced - both he claims to have documentation for, and that they were superficial damage.

I believe I can add a trans cooler and the mechanical engine fan and that basically gives me the HD towing package - I wouldn't have the trailer anti-sway functionality, but I am OK with that. He said he's used it for a bike rack and that's it.

He's asking $10,500, but said we can make a deal. Looks clean from the pics. Claims there's nothing wrong with it - he had free oil changes for life from the dealer, so it's been maintained in that regard. They are moving and just don't need it anymore.

I am thinking I add in the trans cooler and fan (as I will tow from time to time), skid plates (if needed), and some OME springs and shocks with more mannish tires.

Thoughts? Anything to watch out for in the WK's? I know Hoosier mentioned the front diff bushings. I'll try to look for issues there.
