Doesn't sound lazy. Sounds like someone who's comfortable with making less and IMO that's OK. Not everybody has to be a rockstar with money to burn.

I have too much time off, IMO.
I have too much time off, too...explanation to follow.

About six weeks ago my old boss (long story, Marlon knows most of it) who informed me I was fired back in November sent me a text asking if I'd like to come back.
Fall semester is about to start...I tell him I need to be back at work soon if I'm coming back, and I need them to make it like I never got fired (vacation, sick days, etc) after 3 years with them. He agrees. He knows I bust my ass.
I also tell him my living situation has changed, and I need every other weekend off (I was working 6-7 days a week and 80+ hours a week; The morning I got fired, it was 7:30AM. I got home from my last job just 5 hours before; it was a Sunday night)

The last few weeks they've been jerking me around on when I can start. Boss was telling me my DMV report was holding it up. My driving record is absolutely SPOTLESS. There's something up. So, I call the owner/HR lady (same person) and left her a message asking what's going on.

Within an hour I got a text from Troy (the boss) telling me "We aren't hiring you at this time."

Meanwhile, the registration deadline for this semester has come and gone.

This is ridiculous.

^^^Hey, TBJ. How are you doing? As far as what you are saying about your old job, boss, and what was going on, they don't deserve you there. You will get a better job anyway.

As for Marlon, with all the hours he wants, he is just trying to take everyone 's job......LOL

This was frustrating, amazing, and amusing all at the same time. I went into a McD's last night, ordered, then stood back to wait for the stuff to come up. In walks this Hispanic guy. He goes up to the counter, and asks the girl "Espaniole?" She gets a scared, sorry look on her face and says no. The guy then leans over to her and says it louder.."ESPANIOLE?" The girl again says no, at which time the guy goes into a loud obnoxious Spanish tirade, flailing his arms and walking in circles, with "ESPANIOLE" being spewed every three seconds. As he was doing this, the girl behind the counter was asking all of the employees and customers if anyone spoke Spanish....and NO ONE DID!!!!! The guy finally walked out the door, continuing his rant. I followed, hoping to get a plate number from his vehicle, but he just walked away. The poor girl behind the counter looked pretty flustered, but I told her she did just fine as I picked up my stuff. He probably spoke perfect English and was looking for a handout, but changed his mind when I got between him and the counter and started to approach him. I deal with a-holes like that all the time and was seriously ready to "escort" him out the door. I can be pretty brave when I have Ruger at the ready.

I'm putting an rv tow-bar on mine just to drag it home.

My CJ7 showed up on a towbar. My "parts CRD" came home on a towstrap. The other one drove 6,000 miles to get here.

So glad the CJ7 went away. It ties with my VW van as the worst vehicle I've owned. Bought both used and neither one ever quit breaking long enough to rely on.

So the LR3 is leaking where the intermediate shaft goes into the front diff...have an appointment to get that fixed. New control arms up front again because the hydro bushings are leaking. Get home and it's literally pouring gas on the ground. I crawled under it and discovered the rear diff is also leaking....when it rains, it pours diff fluid and gas apparently. Dammit.

And I just got the XJ back from getting the floor pans replaced and the frame fixed.

Get rid of the lr3 and keep the XJ. The XJ is a Jeep after all.
