Transfer Case Removal - Help

Hello,
I'm trying to remove my 242 transfer case from my 06 liberty. What is the best way to remove the bottom 2 remaining nuts?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to remove the crossmember from memory or you cant get to them

I've got the case removed. When I drained the fluid afew small plastic bits came out. I can also feel something loose inside through the drain hole.
Is the repair/ rebuild a good idea to be done by myself or is this a task best left to a shop to be completed? Are there any special tools or pullers required ? Any close tolerance fit issues? Etc.
