Your transfer case takes ATF 4+ .

Any label as such regardless of brand is licesened and the correct fluid. Its Red.

10 mm hex to open fill plug and check. If its not red it should be. No idea on the seal.

85k miles, to add I just read the service manual and it mentions different oils for the front and rear differentials 80w-90 front, 75w-140 rear.
Does it really matter if I'm just topping up?

I thought it was 75w90 for both the front and rear diffs and 75w140 if you haul things a lot
