Sunroof opened on it's own after turning off kj and now it won't shut

my son turned off his Jeep a couple days ago and about 3 seconds after he turned it off the sunroof slid halfway open. It won't close it won't do anything. I've checked the fuses they all check good I have power going to the switch. Any suggestions?

Change or at least check the switch? You could probably remove the switch and jumper the pins in the connector to get it to close if the motor isn't to blame. The half opening may have been the switches last aberrant gasp.

Mine did all sorts of weird things when I first bought it. Changed switch and all good.

That's kinda spooky how it opened on it's own.....
Hopefully it is "just" the switch!
