I'm planning on adding an aftermarket (VDO) oil pressure gauge to our '06 Libby.

Are the oil pressure switch threads on the 3.7 metric, or normal 1/8" NPT?

Is there a better place to tap into oil pressure on the engine than where the current pressure switch is located? Looks like it would be tight fit to install a tee there to hold the new sender and existing switch.

TIA

Hoping the guru will chime in, as to if there's an unofficial port you can plug into instead.
examples: on the neon you can pull a bung on the head and get an oil pressure feed from there. there's also a bung on the bottom of the engine where the oil pump and filter is where you can get a pressure reading from as well. several used the latter, including me.
