The 04 hose is still doing well, not bulging, yet I noticed today lines, do you think they are from the spring?

The spring inside is not that closely wound, most are only about 8-10 rounds so highly doubt from the spring

Wouldn't think anything of it, probably just normal wrinkles from being in use. If it doesn't feel crunchy when you squeeze it, leave it.

HJ it still feels pliable, but it is not a good idea to really squeeze EPDM hoses as scales/crustations, can now break off from inside the hose.
I am going to order a new Mopar hose tomorrow, just in case it was to fail, pic soon..

Ya it is the original 2004 hose (lasted 15 years)
OE clamps are separate purchase with two different sizes, one for outlet and inlet (diameter differences) according to dealer.
The hose will be here mid next week & once I have the hose, will consider new clamps, if they are not to expensive, otherwise will re-use the current ones.

That’s the hose texture. Normal. The new I have sitting here looks the same. It’s from the dealer too

Here is a photo looking up from below.
I just hope the crunchy area is just mud/paint over spray, of some sort going on.
From below, the bottom of inlet hose is extremely hardened. I think it is showing it's age.

With the EPDM hoses I often wonder when they should be replaced.

I replaced all of the hoses+heater hoses+water pump on my 04 in 2016. Only hose I didnt replace was the hose going to the overflow tank since I couldn't buy just the hose. You can purchase the entire overflow tank and it comes with the hose though.
