High fuel consumption

Hi Guys, I've just joint this Jeep forum group, I'm from south Africa Germiston, and still learning this site, Any how I have a 2007 Jeep Libby KJ renegade 3.7L 4x4, so called its my second wife, LOL, she seems to drink far too much, she drinks around 16 to 19L /p 100Km, mileage is Km176000, thou she goes very well and fully serviced, thing is can I have a UNICHIP fitted on these 3,7L V6, for better fuel consumption, any ideas. thanks Guys.

Welcome, I just cleared up your title so more people see it.

What's a UNICHIP? Never heard of it.

The first thing you should do is change the spark plugs to the OEM NTK spark plugs and also gap them to the proper gap listed on the sticker under the hood.

Really it is tough to get decent mileage out of a 4x4 -2 ton + brick, especially at slower speeds.
Many that are lifted & re-geared are getting better mileage. (+4 to 5mpg?)
Mine is pretty heavy with all the accessories/skids etc, I see on a good day possibly 16mpg hwy.
Maybe they should have had placed this badge near the gas tank !! :gr_grin:

I did not buy it for the gas mileage. I have solid/ reliable 4x4 transportation tho!
