In short, at low speeds when I try to accelerate I put my foot down on the pedal and absolutely nothing happens besides hearing what appears to be a thud noise under the car. Then eventually it kicks in and I can accelerate.

Throwing code P0300, had all the injectors checked, spark plugs checked, fuel filter replaced, that stuff is all good.

What else could be causing this?

I have seen lists for possible P0300 code causes, but none of them mention the car not reacting to me putting my foot down on the accelerator. Idle goes slightly rougher while that is happening.

Hopefully someone here has experienced similar.

Well with the P0300 you can have low fuel pressure, vacuum leak , even internal engine problems
So even any of those could give you the systems you describe
Plus there could be other issues

Who checked everything and said they were good ?
How did they check everything ?
Condition of the engine etc

Took it too our local mechanic. When I bought the car had the plugs replaced, o2 sensors replaced, but there was an issue with the fuel filter. Couldn't source a replacement so he fitted an external fuel filter as a stop gap measure.
When he pulled out the old filter, he said there was paper from the old filter in the fuel tank.
He is of the opinion that replacing the stock fuel filter in the fuel tank with a new one will fix the issue.

Still having issues with my car not responding to the accelerator when driving. I pump the gas and either nothing happens, or it jerks a few times. Eventually it kicks in, but its lead to some really sketchy situations.

This only ever seems to happen at low speeds. Never happens when cruising on the freeway.

It has thrown up code P0300 and P0152. It spent a week at the mechanics again, who checked the spark plugs, checked all the ignition systems. I am looking at finding a Jeep specialist in the area to try and fix this.

As it stands, 90% of the time it idles perfect with only occasional rough patches.

But its driving at slow speeds that is where this issue raises its ugly head. For example I will turn out of my street, either direction gets the same result, and I will put my foot down and nothing. And I keep pumping the gas until it eventually kicks in.

The mechanic also mentioned that they had found some sort of debris in the fuel tank, however they cleaned all of that out. My understanding is that there is no fuel filter in the fuel tank so I am at a loss as to what the debris could have been.

So, hopefully someone here can lend some advice. Is this the cause of the old filter or fuel pump, or could it be a different sensor, or could it be something else entirely?

Sounds to me like you really need to get a fuel pressure reading when it's acting up. Most of what you're describing sounds like a fuel issue, but I don't know why the fuel system (or anything else for that matter) would care how fast you're going.
