Hi everyone I just bought an 08 Liberty limited a few weeks ago, I have a couple questions though, when I bout the jeep it came with the mygig w/nav, I noticed it also has the alarm on, now if some breaks my window well the alarm go off?, cause on chryslers web site it says (Security Alarm - Monitors doors, liftgate and ignition circuit) so Im guessing that it would not go off?, cause if it doesnt I want to have an aftermarket alarm installed can someone help me with this?

I had a Chrysler car with factory Security system,and someone broke the rear window and alarm never went off.If they open the door,then it would have gone off.The thiefs know what their doing.

The alarm is activated only if the thief opens the door or liftgate, or starts the vehicle without the key. If you want the glass protected you'll have to go aftermarket.
