It was a warm July day when 8 LOST souls adventured out of their suburbia comfort zone to clean up the the great out doors. We were lead by 3 of the best the National Forest Service had to offer: Travis Mason, Orrin Wyatt, and Mike Cross. Here some of us are getting our instructions for the day.
The first task of the day was to remove a old pipe that was sticking out on to the trail.
Then we removed some rather large rocks that were in the way.
And were did that pipe go? It went that a way.
Time for a break and to take a look around. Swim suits optional.
Then it was time for power tools. Our experts called it bucking and shucking or something like that. All I know, it was hard work.
Leaving your passenger door open is the international signal to alert motorist that there are city folk on the trail.
And for our final project of the day, was to clean and replace some trail signage.
A job well done!!
Family time
So that was our day out in the woods. Well, the desert. Thank you to everyone who came out, and there still is a lot of work to do. So until next time, remember to leave your campsite cleaner then it was when you got there. And as our dear friend Woodsy the Owl says, "Give a hoot. Don't pollute. "
