What did you do to your jeep today?

Got new bilsteins for the front and changed out the windshield washer reservoir. Old one had cracked right on the seam on the bottom of the bottle. Also booking an appointment to get the headliner replaced.

    Ball jointed sway bar links

I'm gonna have to order a set of these and try them out. I'm tired of replacing my front sway bar links with it mainly just driving on the street. Yes, I am at a reasonable level for the front (22.3 from center of the wheel to the fender.) for those thinking I might have it sitting too high.

Set aside a day next week to replace the front shocks on my coilovers. Now just need to get the headliner changed out.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Changed both upper and lower driver's side ball joints, replaced hardware on the front sway bar links, u-joints, and the rear upper bump stops. Will replace the oil after a few thousand more miles.

What size lift to comfortably fit 31’s-32’s?

I have 245-75-16´s on mine. I regeared to 4:10's and I'm glad I did. I saw the power come back and the gas mileage was back to normal levels of the KJ. I don't wheel mine b/c my wife uses it mostly but when it was my daily the regear was a lot nicer driving on the road.

Rebuilding JBA Adjust a Struts - part numbers

Anyone know the valving specs for the shocks when they're new. I have an order placed but the manufacturer needs that info so they can fulfill my order. These are the shocks: https://www.vividracing.com/bilstein-7100-classic-coilover-shock-absorber-p-151564679.html Any help would be greatly...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finished installing the new bilstein rear shocks. They look great and the ride is good. Standard procedure from now on will be to PB Blast any nut/bolt that is going to be taken off. The job would have taken a lot less time had I done that before starting.

    245/75/r16 vs 235/75/r16

The regear is definitely needed with 245/75/16. You'll notice the difference immediately after the regear. I sure did. Power was back and the mileage went back to where it was stock.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Prepped the rear bilstein shocks to be installed by using a vice at work to press the sleeves into both ends.

    Bilstein 33-185552 Shocks Sleeves

I knew about the 5100S model after reading through the threads on here. Thank you for the replies everyone. It is much appreciated. I'll throw these on the Jeep on my next day off. They arrived yesterday and man they look nicer than my OME's did when they were new. Hey Tom do you still have...

Survey on AT tires being used

Ran Duratracs for 70K. Currently on a set of Falken Wildpeaks. They're a lot quieter. Have yet to let me down thus far in rain or snow.
